It's National Postdoc Appreciation Week 2024!

From Monday 16th - Friday 20th September, the UK is celebrating the fantastic contribution postdocs and researchers make towards research and academic life in general. It's a special time to showcase, recognise, and celebrate the efforts of postdocs, and thank them for all they do!

We'll be at the free national online event today, where Dr Steve Cross will be giving a masterclass on building relationships and networking, followed by a facilitated discussion and audience Q&A with panelists Dr Joe Fennell, Dr Laura Pottinger, and Dr Pooja Khurana.

In addition to the main event, NPAW is also running CV clinic/careers sessions for postdocs who don't have access to these type of support from their institutions - and you can also find information about local NPAW programmes here.

We're also going to be attending the International Research Culture Conference at the University of Warwick, to learn all about the latest news and innovation across the research culture space, and see what institutions are doing across the UK and beyond to support and develop their researchers.

Tomorrow (Tuesday 17th September), Prosper is running its own online session open to researchers across the UK - Thriving in research: growing agility and resilience.

This free session is being run by Natacha Wilson, experienced leadership development consultant and coach and Founder and Director of Cambridge Insights. Natacha will be talking about how to thrive in your research role, based on principles in applied neuroscience; positive psychology and best practice in research intensive environments.
